About Karina Machelle
Karina Machelle is a poet, author, and survivor-advocate whose work centers on truth-telling, healing, and spiritual liberation. Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Karina’s life journey has carried her across the Southern United States, living in Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and North Carolina. Each place added depth to her understanding of identity, resilience, and the long road toward freedom.
Her poetry collection, Unapologetically Yours Truly I & II, is a raw and courageous exploration of childhood trauma, abuse, grief, love, faith, and recovery. Writing with unfiltered honesty, Karina uses poetry as both testimony and transformation—turning survival into voice and pain into purpose. Her work speaks directly to those who have endured generational trauma, domestic violence, spiritual wounds, and emotional silencing.
At the core of Karina’s writing is her relationship with Yahweh, which guides her journey toward forgiveness without erasure, healing without denial, and freedom without shame. Unapologetically Yours Truly represents not only a literary release, but a personal breaking of chains—especially those tied to her past in Georgia, a place she had to confront in order to finally be free from it.
Karina is currently working on her third book, which documents her weight-loss journey as an extension of healing—tracing the connection between unresolved trauma, spiritual restoration, and physical transformation. Her message is clear: healing does not stop with the heart; it must reach the body as well.
Through poetry, speaking, and testimony, Karina Machelle creates space for the broken to feel seen, heard, and empowered to choose healing unapologetically.
